S40's 14oz Selvedge Denim Fabric

The S40s fabric draws from 1940s wartime denim, made using a 14oz EMOT cotton blend sourced from Memphis, New Orleans, and Texas. Woven on vintage Toyoda shuttle looms, it carries a natural irregularity with a subtle slub texture, a slightly cream-toned weft, and a rope-dyed indigo warp that gains depth over time. It feels honest and unrefined in the right way, not stiff or overworked, just a solid, wearable fabric designed to break in naturally with use.

TCB 50's Construction Details

The sewing is based on TCB’s 50s model, which focuses heavily on period correct construction.

Hidden rivets are set using one of the most durable methods TCB has developed. The paper patch is sewn by hand.

Across the jeans, multiple thread counts and colours are used depending on the seam. Stitch widths are adjusted section by section. Vintage machines are tuned to match the character of original garments.

Rivets.

Exposed copper rivets anchor front pockets. Hidden rivets on the rear pocket dictate mid century construction upgrades and are set using one of the most durable methods TCB has developed.

Higer Rise Fit

The 4050 comes with a higher rise compared to typical TCB Jeans. This means there is more room in the butt, crotch and thigh and results in a more comfortable wear.

30" Inseam.

The 4050's come with a 30" inseam across all waist sizes. After 10 Years of selling and hemming jeans we know that the 30" inseam will fit most customers straight off the shelf.

10 Years of Friendship

The paper patch and tote bag design by Martin is a riff on the classic TCB 'two cats' motif. The patch features two dancing tigers representing URAHARA and TCB Jeans with the URAHARA tiger wearing jeans gifted by the TCB tiger.

Australia and Okayama are represented by their Japanese kanji.
