RATS Polo Knit L/S - Brown

The knitted polo became an important part of postwar menswear as sports clothing moved into everyday wardrobes. Its combination of a soft knitted body and structured collar offered a more relaxed alternative to conventional shirting, particularly through the 1950s and 1960s. RATS draws on that tradition here with a heavier wool construction and compact proportions.

The Polo Knit is made from 100% wool using a 5 gauge jersey knit. This relatively substantial construction gives the fabric a smooth surface with enough weight to hold its shape, while set in sleeves keep the shoulders clean and defined. Slightly relaxed ribbing at the cuffs and hem provides a softer finish around the edges.

The body is cut slightly shorter and closer through the width, giving the knit a neat, boxy profile. Original engraved buttons finish the front placket, adding a subtle RATS detail to an otherwise restrained piece of knitwear.
