What We Think

The Stay Gold Chino represents TCB at their most personal. While it is modeled on the vintage 1941 Khaki, the project also reflects the 1990s Japanese youth culture that shaped Hajime’s early admiration for clothing. The name Stay Gold speaks to the idea of holding onto that youthful energy while refining it through experience.

The details are carefully considered. The looser pocket stitching, the officer-style waistband with its extra allowance, and the smooth yet durable 10 oz cloth give these chinos an authentic character that sets them apart from modern reproductions. The fabric has substance without being heavy, making them comfortable for daily wear.

The fit is classic and versatile. Straight through the leg with enough room for ease, they work naturally with boots, loafers, or sneakers. Whether paired with a tucked shirt or worn more casually, the Stay Gold Chino delivers a timeless look with depth and integrity.
